Step into Somewhere Else

A journey through four atmospheric spaces.

This October, during Frieze Week, we make our London debut with Somewhere Else — a temporary project inside a Georgian townhouse in Cavendish Square. Unfolding as four acts connected by the house's grand central staircase, the installation blurs the boundary between art and architecture. Together, the works invite you to consider how a building can hold climate, memory, and imagination at once.

Cube

On the ground floor, a monolithic block of Calacatta Oro marble carries water in an endless loop, evoking geological time and hidden circulation beneath the earth.

Moon Garden

On the first floor, a planted hemisphere emerges indoors, a giant scoop of earth lifted inside, with foliage irrigated by water.

Spectral Dining Table

In an adjoining room, a long table surrounded by wrapped furniture and paintings suggests the trace of a gathering, ended, but not forgotten.

Cloud Room

At the top of the house, vapour and shifting light drift through empty rooms, turning the building into a fragment of weather.

Our Thinking

For us, water is not just a material but a way of thinking about time and nature, from geology and growth to memory and atmosphere. Together, these works form a cross-section of water's journey, unfolding through the layers of the house.
